Except for Gold Pass holders, public parking is VERY limited on the WOI 12 airfield site, and more importantly the road system to access the Ilawarra Regional Airport is severely strained by the combination of ordinary Sunday traffic flow, display and exhibitor vehicles accessing the airport and the disruptions caused by heavy pedestrian traffic as people arrive to WOI 12 by train
IT IS THEREFORE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO WOI 12 BY ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE TO THE AIRPORT AND PARK ON THE AIRFIELD WE RECOMMEND TWO OPTIONS AS BELOW TRAVEL BY TRAIN OR CATCH A VINTAGE BUS
TRAVEL TO WOI 12 BY TRAIN:- CityRail is operating additional services to get you to and from Wings Over Illawarra. Visit cityrail.info for more information including timetables.
NOTE THERE IS A SPECIAL FAMILY PASS DISCOUNT TICKET FOR RETURN TRAVEL ON THE DAY
SO AS WELL AS FROM SYDNEY, DRIVE AND PARK AT A CONVENIENT LOCAL RAILWAY STATION WHERE ON A SUNDAY THERE IS LOTS OF FREE PARKING.FOR EXAMPLE, WOLLONGONG CITY, UNANDERRA, OAK FLATS AND KIAMA RAILWAY STATIONS HAVE LOTS OF CLOSE PARKING AVAILABLE
