The Gold pass is aimed at either the very committed aviation enthusiast (or for someone who wants to give a meaningful present to an enthusiast) OR the business person(s) wanting to mix a great day of entertainment with the opportunity to learn how to do business with Defence.

THE GOLD PASS EXPERIENCE

Gold passes are limited to 120 persons maximum and in return for a Gold Pass purchase ($140) you will receive the following benefits:-

1. Reserved parking on a specially designated area on the airfield close to the Aviator Lounge
2. A distinctive identifier pass and a special Gold Pass Cap
3. A viewing grandstand restricted to Gold Pass holders
4. The exclusive use of the Aviator Lounge Ground Floor (both indoors and outdoors) where a quality lunch and all day tea/ coffee/selected drinks are provided at no extra charge, plus a sit down area to network and relax with your guests.
5. The opportunity to attend an Australian Business Defence Industry unit briefing (held within the Aviator Lounge Gold Pass restricted area). The briefing will be led by the Canberra based Australian Business Defence Unit staff, plus invited Defence procurement staff, and the briefing will cover the opportunities for doing business with the Australian Defence Forces. Final details about the briefing session will be provided here as soon as possible, and invited guests (attendance yet to be confirmed) include a senior representative from Defence Support Group (NSW)
6. You will share the Gold pass experience with the official WOI 12 VIP Group which will include senior Defence staff as well as regional political and business leaders
7. An escorted tour of the Air Show (optional) and no further charge admission to inspect the HARS aircraft which are open for inspection, plus free train rides on the Illawarra Light Rail Museum steam trains
8. An electronic 1 year subscription to the HARS magazine “Phoenix”

PLEASE NOTE:-There is no rain day for this event, the event will go ahead in all weather. No refund of tickets will be issued for poor weather.Please ensure that the name given on the booking is of the person attending the event. A printed copy of the confirmed itinerary/booking and photo ID (eg. Drivers Licence) will need to be shown to validate GOLD PASS entry to the event.

There will be an action packed day of flying for the public, and a large crowd always attend WOI-for example WOI 10 and WOI 11 attracted at least 15-20 000 visitors. The flying program includes:- the HARS collection which includes large civilian aircraft such as the well known Super Constellation (Connie) and ex RAAF aircraft such as the Tiger Moth, Neptune, Dakota and Catalina; plus visiting “warbirds” including but not only the Temora Aviation Museum based Spitfire and Hudson; and a range of ADF aircraft from the Royal Australian Navy and Royal Australian Air Force.

Benefits Of Sponsorship

There will be a handout provided to each entrant to WOI 12- which will list the flying program with details such as time of flight; aircraft type and your name or organisation identified as the sponsor of that flight.

In addition, the Public Address system will announce and commentate on each flight and as WOI organizer I will ensure that you will be offered the opportunity to have your selected information about you and/ or your organization announced whilst the aircraft is flying overhead. There will also be photo opportunities for you with the aircraft and crew during the WOI 12 day
